Introduction
This is a sermon preached by Pastor Shekhar Kallianpur
We are God’s people. God is the source, and we are the resources. It is evident that we live in a technologically advanced age. There formerly existed no data, no facilities, and no transportation. Everything that was deemed impossible a few years ago is now feasible and available in the 5G era. Further thoughts reveal that nothing that people use in 2023 was made in 2023 — rather, everything was already in existence. It became something new when someone looked for what had already existed and discovered it.
It is the same from a Biblical perspective. The history indicates that there have been over 5,984 years between Adam's time and 2023 (2023 – the time of Jesus Christ – the time of Abraham – the time of Adam and Job, that is the time of Genesis.). In Job 29:14 we read, “I put on righteousness, and it clothed me; My justice was like a robe and a turban”. This was said by Job almost 5000 years ago. Job received the revelation of the redemption prior to Abraham, Jesus Christ, the redeemer and the one who restored righteousness. Also, this was before the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came down to live inside man to help us live in righteousness.
This implies that the revelation is already in place. We will walk in a realm of greater glory even before it arrives on this earth if we begin to search for it and develop a relationship with the King of Glory. The Word of the Lord says “seek and you shall find”.
The revelation of Church is one of the many revelations we come across. Church is not a place where we go to meet God, but it is a place where sons of God come together to fellowship. It is a place where believers build, encourage, and love one another.
Revelation of Glory
“…for in Him we live and move and have our being…”
Acts 17:28 (NKJV)
Glory is the air we breathe. Our physical body needs oxygen to breathe and remain alive. Similarly, our inner man needs glory every moment. Religiosity has made glory a super-high attainable factor, but in reality, it is like our breath. The Holy Spirit God lives inside us at all times, and our spirit is in constant fellowship with the King of Glory.
Different levels of Glory
There are various levels of God’s Glory mentioned in the Bible. The relationship with Holy Spirit and constant fellowship with the Holy Spirit God takes us from one level of Glory to another.
-
Creation Glory
When God created Adam, he had three things in the garden of Eden –
-
- The Fellowship of the Holy Spirit
- The Authority of the Holy Spirit
- The Abundance of the Holy Spirit
Three things happened in the creation glory – Adam was in fellowship with the Holy Spirit God, a constant association. Adam was able to have the mind of Christ and the authority of Holy Spirit as a result of his constant association with the Holy Spirit. Whatever he named became the name for generations. Authority is not strength to wage war, but it is the manifestation of the Glory of God that gives us the wisdom of God. And this authority brought abundance in his life.
Purpose of Creation – to be a WORSHIPPER
The primary purpose of our creation is to be a worshipper. Adam was created to worship God. The creation of Adam gave him the Glory – the fellowship with the Holy Spirit, in which he worshipped God and discovered what it meant to be in the Holy Spirit's presence. Similarly, if we want the Glory of God to increase in our life, we need to worship God. Worship is not a weekend activity, but it is an answer to God that is constantly released from our ongoing relationship with the Holy Spirit.
“And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.”
Acts 5:32 (NKJV)
According to the Word of God, the highest form of worship is obedience. We cannot experience God in our mind and intellect, we have to taste / experience the presence of God. When we worship Him and obey Him, we taste / experience the presence of God and we see His Glory being released to us as blessings, prosperity, success, wisdom, etc. This is the Kingdom life - Heaven on earth. Kingdom of Heaven is God's presence. Kingdom of God on earth is Kingdom of heaven on earth when we decide to carry His Glory.
The earth was filthy and in terrible sin during the days of Noah. When God visited the earth, he smelled rottenness, until he reached the house of Noah, a just man in his generation. Because Noah was obedient and engaged in constant fellowship with God, God detected a pleasant aroma of worship emanating from his home. The association with the Holy Spirit God gave Noah the wisdom to build the best ark. One house, one family, and the worship of God in spirit and truth proved to be sufficient to save the entire world after God personally chose Noah and gave him a great assignment. This is indeed the Glory. The association of the Holy Spirit also gave Noah the authority over animals to get them into the ark.
-
Redemption Glory
There was Glory in man during the time of creation, but Adam lost it because of sin; he went from being a son to a slave, from a place of rest and fellowship to death and corruption, and from being a son to orphan. The redemption glory is God becoming man to redeem him and place him back into God’s glory.
For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
Hebrews 10:14 (NKJV)
Jesus Christ came into this earth, and paid the price once and for all. This redemption is permanent. Along with Him the Kingdom of God came on earth. Just as only the rules of that nation will apply in its embassy, so too will the rules of heaven apply in the kingdom of heaven. And the kingdom of heaven would come in all who believe in Jesus and His sacrifice. As long as we believe in Jesus and breathe in the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, we are living in the redemption Glory.
-
Restoration Glory
The redemption glory takes us to the next level, that is the restoration glory. The moment we give our life to Jesus, we enter the kingdom of heaven and there is an increase of 30, 60, and 100-fold into our lives. When there is a restoration of joy, peace, prosperity, sound mind, and wisdom, our body becomes the temple of the Holy Spirit and we become the carrier of glory.
Purpose of Restoration – To become Infilled with the WORD to Overflow
Restoration occurs when we are filled to the point of overflowing into others. We know the Glory, however, growth will be stunted if we do not share the story. Jesus being son of God and son of man, went every day to a mountain top for infilling from Father God. Regular fellowship and infilling of the Word and the Holy Spirt led to an overflow in Jesus’ life. This overflow made Him a witness to those around Him.
God's Word serves as a mirror to our spirit man, just as a mirror reflects our physical self. No man or apostle or prophet, or any ministry is above the Word of God. The fellowship of the Holy Spirit urges us to spend time with the Word of God. We cannot hear the voice of God if we do not spend time with the Word of God. God’s Word is God’s voice and God’s Word is God’s will for us. In life, if we are unaware of God’s will and we operate according to our own will and take shortcuts, it may lead to short circuits. A prophet can only confirm the voice of God that is already spoken to us. It is up to us to discern God's voice from the Word of God.
-
Revelation Glory
Revelation Glory is God revealing Himself to mankind. Every time we go to God’s presence, He opens our eyes and reveals Himself.
“…that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints…”
Ephesians 1:17-18 (NKJV)
As our relationship with God grows closer, He will continue to reveal Himself to us and provide us with wisdom and revelation that will help us understand Him better. Our fellowship with the Holy Spirit everyday helps us to experience the love of the Father, the grace of Jesus Christ, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Similar to the intimacy between a man and a woman, the fellowship with God also includes love, intimacy, joy and birthing. This fellowship will make the love and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ evident in us. Thus, through our ministries, we will be able to make Jesus visible to others. When we pray for people, minister to people, and release the word for people, not a single word we say will go unanswered; rather, it will come to pass. We will become the tangible manifestation of the invisible God through our ministry and our way of life.
-
Resurrection Glory
This life is the life of resurrection glory in us. The resurrection glory is the power of God and the Glory of God in us and working through us.
As we advance to function in the resurrection glory, the power of God will be made evident to us, resulting in powerful deliverances and healing miracles. Jesus Christ operated in the resurrection glory. The Resurrection occurred wherever he went - people were delivered, healed, restored, and brought back to life. Unusual healing powers were released even from His clothes. When the woman with the issue of blood came near Jesus and touched the helm of His garment, she was healed and made clean. We go to the mountaintop to worship the Father in Spirit and in truth. Following worship, we fellowship with the Word of God, which enables us to bear witness by functioning in healing and resurrection glory, thereby letting God’s river to flow through us. In the resurrection glory, we walk in the presence of the Holy Spirit and we change the atmosphere with every word we speak.
-
Eternal Glory
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.
Romans 8:18-19 (NKJV)
Eternal glory is being absent in the body, and present with the Lord. When Jesus Christ came into this earth, the Kingdom of God came on earth. Furthermore, because we live, and move, and have our being in Him, each of us is a candidate for eternal glory regardless of our age. Galatians 4:19 exhorts us to make room for his glory, ‘until Christ is formed in us’ – until the presence of God flows through us. However, in heaven we are the sons of God. Jesus is the begotten Son and we are the redeemed sons. This gives us the privilege of walking in the eternal glory.
Conclusion
Many people are waiting to hear about the glorious gospel of Lord Jesus Christ, and only if we witness, will they get Jesus. Walking in the revelation of glory calls us to worship, fellowship with God through the Word and, witness to the people around us. These times are crucial as we have only one life to invest. Let us invest our lives into God and His service. Whatever we spend will go waste, but what we invest, multiplies its returns.
