Introduction – Faith in Heavenly Realms

May is the month of Faith. The Bible says in Galatians 2:20(KJV) that we have the Faith of the Son of God. Now as we are talking about faith in supernatural realms or faith in heavenly realms, the first and foremost thing is to understand where we are seated and with whom we are seated, and what we are seeing.

“…and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”

Ephesians 2:6 (NKJV)

There is a natural place where we are sitting now, it can be a chair in our home, in our office, or in a moving vehicle. The Bible is saying that we are seated in heavenly places which is in Christ Jesus. This revelation has to sink in every believer. We are seated in heavenly places and this should be our lifestyle. Nothing in the world can attack us, nothing in the world can bother us because we are seated in Christ Jesus Christ. In the world, there may be sickness, in the world, there may be problems, in the world, there may be struggles, but the Bible says we are seated in Lord Jesus Christ.

When we are in the heavenly realms, there are certain divine qualities that get manifested in us:

A) Faith of Lord Jesus Christ

The first fundamental thing for faith to change is to understand we are not ordinary people sitting and living in this world, we are a chosen generation by the Almighty God to show this world the glory of the Almighty God.

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Galatians 2:20 (KJV)

We are not ordinary people and Bible adds to it that Our faith is also not ordinary. We are living by the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ. Because we are co-seated with Jesus in the heavenly realms, no more we are living by our faith which may not be accessible into the kingdom of God, and which may not be able to give us miracles in the kingdom of God, but the Bible says we are living by the faith of Lord Jesus Christ. How great that faith is. It is not a normal faith, it is not even a small faith, it is not even a high faith but it is the perfect faith because in Jesus there is only perfection.

Faith of People Releasing Miracles

In the Bible, when we look at the life of the Israelites, the Israelites saw how God can work miracles when they saw the ten plagues. It was science. But when they came to the Red Sea there was absolutely no faith because they turned to Moses and said, were there enough graves for us back in Egypt that you brought us to the Red Sea? They were prophesying their death at that difficult time in front of the Red Sea and the Pharaoh's army. The miracle happened there because of the faith of Moses. The people did not believe but by the faith of Moses, they crossed over the Red Sea. By the faith of Moses, the enemy was defeated once and forever.

In the New Testament, we read about a miracle when four friends brought a paralytic person to Lord Jesus Christ. As they brought the paralytic man down, Jesus saw the faith of his friends and Jesus said, because of your faith, I am healing him. Probably this paralytic man did not have the faith to be healed. But his friends had faith and he got healed. Somebody else's faith can do amazing miracles in us.

Perfect Faith of Lord Jesus Christ

Now these two examples involve human beings. In the old covenant, it involved Moses and in the New Testament, it involved four fragile friends. But as we are in the New Covenant Revelation, our faith is not dependent on our pastor's faith, our parent’s faith, or any other human beings’ faith, it is not dependent on our own high faith, or medium faith, or deep faith, but our faith is dependent on the Perfect Faith of Lord Jesus Christ because we are co-seated in heavenly realms with Jesus.

Our faith is fragile, when we are unable to believe, Jesus Himself is believing in a miracle for us. Our faith was never matching the expectancy of God but our revelation is that I am seated in Jesus Christ. When I am seated in Jesus Christ, it is perfect. When we get to know who Jesus is, His faith starts to operate for us.

B) Access to Spiritual Blessings in the Heavenly Places through Faith

This supernatural faith has given us access to all the blessings that we need for our lives.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

Ephesians 1:3 (NKJV)

Now, the faith of Jesus Christ enables us to understand that we are already blessed. Our God works in timelines. God has created for us everything that we need pertaining to life in the heavenly realms. We need Faith to bring them to the natural realm. Because we need miracles and when there is a delay, if we are trusting in our faith, we will get discouraged. But when we are seeing with the faith of Jesus, we are seeing ourselves as completely blessed and made whole in Lord Jesus Christ. The Faith of the Son of God enables the spiritual release of blessings in material forms into the natural realms.

We need material blessings when we are in this world. We need a job, finances, family, children, and a home to live in. And these blessings are already prepared for us by Lord Jesus Christ in heavenly realms. It becomes accessible to us. Then we start believing and understanding that it is no more of our faith but it is God's faith operating in us through the power of the Holy Spirit for miraculous releases in our lives. Now for this to happen in our life, we need to see ourselves as how God sees us.

God’s picture of us

We have to understand that whatever might be our situation in this natural realm, it has no effect on us when we are equipped with the Faith of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is not seeing us as defeated person or as a fearful person, a person of depression, or as a person who has been traumatized. In God’s eyes, we are not a failure, but God is seeing us as a person with God himself near us.

a) Gideon

There are instances in the Bible of how God saw people. Gideon in the Old Testament was hiding fearing the Philistines. Judges 6:12 tells us about Gideon and how God is seeing Gideon. Gideon is seeing himself as a coward. The people around him are scared, fearful because of the situation of the enemy. But the angel of the Lord appears to him and said, “The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!” Gideon has absolutely no past history of miracles to tell him that God is with him. But the angel comes and says Gideon, you are actually scared, you are fearful, you are worried, you are discouraged, you have seen a big trauma and you might feel so alone right now, but in the heavenly realms God is seeing you as God with you, Immanuel. And not only that, you are a man of great valor.

b) David

It was the same with David. When David was a shepherd boy, confined within the commands of his authoritative father and brothers, all he faced was shame and rejection. But when we read 1 Samuel 13:14, we see God addressing David as a man after God’s own heart, whom the Lord has commanded to be commander over His people. When God made this statement, David was not at all any of this. That is where the heart of God is. God has released and kept whatever we are destined to be in the heavenly realms. When it is the appointed time, and when we operate in the Faith of the Lord Jesus Christ and call His Will and His desire into the natural realms, that is when things in our lives start to take a shift and we see supernatural miracles being unfolded in our lives.

c) Paul

Apostle Paul was killing the Christians. He was killing people, but God is telling Ananias that God Himself has chosen him. Ananias could not believe what God was telling Him. God was seeing Paul as an Apostle, the man who will turn the world upside down for my glory, even when he was killing the followers of Jesus.

d) Peter

When everyone saw Peter as a failed man, a man who denied Jesus, who even cursed Jesus and said, I do not know, Jesus saw Peter as the rock, as the foundation of the church of the Almighty God. He told Peter, his name in Greek is Petra. Petra, you are a strong rock and on you, I will build my church.

e) Elijah

Elijah was seeing himself as the most depressed person in the Bible. No prophet in the Bible had suicidal tendencies other than Elijah. But what did God see? God sent his angel, and said, hey, Elijah, you have a long way to go. This is what he came and said, you have a long way to go through your ministry, the evil Jezebel shall be finished once and for all.

Many of our problems would be over if we get to know and see how Jesus is seeing us. Jesus’ viewpoint about us is very powerful. It is not our completeness that makes us complete but it is when we are a failure, when we are incomplete, when we come to the mercy seat of Jesus, He picks us up and makes us sit in Him and we are made complete. And the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ operates in us and we get to know how God sees us. Even when we are weak in faith, God is seeing us as a mighty man of valor and a person after His own heart.

Life Giving Faith

This gospel unveils a continual revelation of God’s righteousness—a perfect righteousness given to us when we believe. And it moves us from receiving life through faith to the power of living by faith.  This is what the Scripture means when it says: “We are right with God through life-giving faith!”

Romans 1:17 (TPT)

When we get our focus on Jesus, the first thing that happens is that God's righteousness gets released into our lives. We are never perfect in our righteousness. The more we depend on God's grace and humble ourselves, God will lift us up. We are all human beings, we can all have failures, and no one is perfect other than Lord Jesus Christ, but we are all attaining perfection when the gospel becomes a continual revelation of God's righteousness in us. Our understanding of righteousness is growing because there is this life-giving faith in us. Paul says, the righteousness revealed from the gospel will give us life-giving faith, whenever you see the word life, you should immediately understand life-giving faith is to conquer death in our lives, any dimension of death, whether it is sickness, spiritual death, emotional death, death in of finances, death of provisions, death of the next generation, we should immediately believe on the Almighty God that His faith is operating and that we are seated with Lord Jesus Christ in heavenly realms and we are receiving the life-giving faith.

I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.

John 5:30 (NKJV)

When we are talking about perfect faith, the first thing that we should yield to is no more of our own will, but let God’s will be done in our life, that is where perfect faith operates. When God's perfect will is established, where this supernatural heavenly faith will operate, then we will understand who we are in Christ Jesus, and what God has in store for us, so that we will never fail, but be victorious in every aspect of our life.

Concluding Prayer

Lord Jesus, we pray that You help us climb up to the Faith in the heavenly realms that will help us to have Your perfect faith and access all spiritual blessings that You have kept for us. Help us to live, talk, see, hear, and view as You do, and let our faith be progressive which will give us to accept your will for all the areas of our lives.

In Jesus Name,

Amen.
